great flowers,\u00a0big panorama, a few short excellent trails, a few trails that are not completely bikeable, and lots of road &#8211; not for everyone.\u00a0 It is possible to take\u00a0buses to subtract huge amounts of paved roads and climbing, but the riding would be much shorter.\u00a0 I was pleasantly surprised to find one high trail particularly excellent, and no &#8216;no biking&#8217; signs blocking any of the trails I planned to take &#8211; although a few of these signs\u00a0exist in the area.\u00a0 The area has a big potential for development, as do many other areas in Switzerland &#8211; but\u00a0additional gorgeous, swooping, gentle slope singletrack trails (and protected from the ravages of cows) need to be built &#8211; to bypass a\u00a0large network of boring paved and dirt roads\u00a0signposted for hiking and biking.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040683.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040684.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040710.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040719.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040731.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Change of weather:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040753.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The choice is clear:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040758.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The choice is re-confirmed as the right one:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040768.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>More good surprises:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040790.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sorry singletrailmap.ch &#8211; this part of the trail is not medium difficulty singletrail &#8211; plus more stairs before and after.\u00a0 Obvious something like this would happen from the 25000 map.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/phspot.ch\/trips\/bike\/swiss\/2007\/grindelwald\/P1040801.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The best pizza in town &#8211;
